SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed with regard to the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service level established for intervention experiences a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
